WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING TIMES?
Our opening times can vary, especially during the winter months when it's quiet. We are usually open from 5:30pm with the last table in at 9pm, sometimes a little later during the summer. When it is quiet we can close early. Please call in advance on 01503 263080 to check we are open and if we can accommodate you. If there is no reply, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO COOK AND SERVE YOUR FOOD? I AM IN A RUSH.
We take orders and cook on a first come first served basis. We have only one Thai chef and we are not a fast food restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh to order so there will be a wait, especially when the restaurant is busy. The wait depends on how many customers have already ordered and the number and complexity of the dishes they have asked for. Our chef is an expert and very fast, no one can do it quicker, so please relax, unwind, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. If you're in a hurry with a train to catch or just want to be served before other people who are already seated, then we are sorry but we can't oblige you.
I DON'T LIKE CHILLIES, IS EVERYTHING SPICY?
About 50% of our dishes are not spicy at all. With spicy dishes we will ask if you want the dish mild, medium, or hot spicy. Everyones palate is different, but as a guide our medium spicy is about the same as other restaurants hot, and our hot for many people is very hot. With your meal we provide extra chilli fish sauce or chilli soy sauce for you to add additional spice if you require it.
I HAVE ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES, CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE ME?
If you have an allergy or intolerance please advise us as we take your order so we can advise you. You may need to refer to our allergen folder and the person taking the order will need to tell the Chef. Sometimes we may be able to omit the allergen ingredient from the dish or change to an alternative, e.g Gluten Free Soy Sauce, or Gluten Free Oyster Sauce. But please note all allergens are present in our small kitchen and there is always the possibility of cross-contamination and we can’t do anything about that.
HOW CAN I BOOK A TABLE?
Reservations can be made by telephone or at the door, we do ask for a deposit on making a reservation. The deposit comes off the bill at the end of the evening. We will refund deposits for cancellations up to 48 hours before the day or if we have to close the restaurant for any reason. We keep the deposit on any member of your party that does not show up.
To make a reservation please call 01503 263080 if there is no reply please leave a message with your name, telephone number, number of people, date and time of desired reservation and we will get back to you as soon as possible. When we are very busy in the evening we are not always able to answer the telephone so messages may not listened to until the restaurant has closed.
I'M LOOKING TO BOOK A TABLE FOR MYSELF AND FRIENDS/ FAMILY, HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE FOR EACH BOOKING?
We are a small restaurant with one chef and only three hobs to cook on limiting how many dishes she can get out at the same time. Therefore we have to restrict the maximum table size to six. During the winter months when the restaurant is quiet we can accommodate larger tables with the food coming out in phases.
CAN I JUST WALK IN?
Yes you may walk in. If we have space and judge we are able to get you through before the next booking arrives we will. To do that we may advise you how long you can have at the table or how many courses there is time for. It is always preferable to call in advance to check we are open and if we can accommodate you.
WE HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN ARE THEY ALLOWED TO COME?
Young children outside of Thailand are generally not accustomed to the type of food we serve and to achieve an enjoyable and relaxing environment for all our customers we do not admit children under the age of seven and restrict older children to the early evening.
ARE YOU A DOG-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT?
We love dogs but unfortunately we cannot allow them into the restaurant, however we do have two lovely tables outside where owners can sit with their dogs, weather permitting.
I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A TAKEAWAY, HOW CAN I ORDER?
We take takeaway orders at the door and by phone, please call 01503 263080 to order. We do not deliver, takeaways have to be collected from the restaurant. We will advise a time to come and collect your take away, however it is not a precise science and there may be a few minutes wait.
Acceptance of orders and cooking time is dependent on the number and size of orders already waiting in the kitchen, restaurant customers often book months in advance and have paid a deposit to reserve their table so they always take priority over take aways.
We only have one chef so when we are very busy we may have to stop taking take away orders and are sometimes unable to answer the telephone. Please do not leave take away messages on the voice mail as these will not be listened to until after the restaurant has closed.
To avoid disappointment, especially if you have a large order, please speak to a member of staff late afternoon before the restaurant opens or outside busy restaurant times.
Our takeaway menu is available online and outside the door of the restaurant. It will help us if you can please decide what you want to order before calling the restaurant or coming to the door.
DO YOU DO TAKEAWAY DELIVERIES?
No, sorry, we are primarily a dine in restaurant. We are also located in a rural area where many houses do not have a house number or street name so finding them at night in the dark is very difficult and we do not have the staff to do it. So take aways are collection only.
